Sea Horses are the shyest fish in the sea. They live among the coral and sea grass. They never stray more than a few yards from their homes. And when predators are around they camouflage themselves by changing colors.
With these facts, and many more, Butterworth shows us how truly unique and interesting Sea Horses are. Unfortunately, (in my opinion) the illustrations don’t quite do justice to the subject. While the illustrations are nice, they aren’t colorful enough to really draw in a young reader. Overall though, I really enjoyed this book for its simplistic text and meaningful information. This is a great book for the budding marine biologist.
