Criticism: One of the most boring books I’ve ever read. 1940’s teenage angst, with little point to it. As a matter of fact, from the half of the book that I could force myself to read, it seems like the main character thinks about doing more things than he actually does. Who really cares about the troubles and opinions of a spoiled rich kid? I should have read this book as a teenager, maybe then this book may have resonated with me. But at 32 it is just so trivial and boring.
