Noah's Compass – Anne Tyler

First, to be honest, this is the first Anne Tyler book I’ve ever read. Her ability to write a character with some substance that you can relate to was apparent and enjoyable. While Liam’s (the main character) personal relationships were interesting, the real reason I kept reading was for some resolution on his lost memory. How she wraps up this part of the story was rather anticlimactic. Noah’s compass was well written and Liam was enjoyable to discover, but the story just left me wanting more. It is merely a matter of taste.
